Moresports

Moresports After-School Sports Program- Basketball focus. This program offers a vibrant, fun-filled environment where participants explore various basketball specific skills and develop fundamental movements and tactics. This dynamic program focuses on providing a well-rounded athletic experience. Participants will enhance coordination, agility, and physical abilities while honing sport-specific skills. Our inclusive atmosphere encourages confidence, friendship, and the joy of sports. 


Tuesdays: 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM
April 14 to June 2 (8 sessions)

Ages: Grade 4 - 7

Cost: Approx $140 (subsidies are available on a case-by-case basis)

Young Rembrandts

Girl Painter

Young Rembrandts teaches drawing, the fundamental skill of all visual arts, to children aged 6 to 12. Their unique, proven method and step-by-step curriculum foster a wealth of skills such as fine motor skills, handwriting readiness, and attention to detail.

 

Their method aims to develop increased patience, discipline, and focus, as well as a host of artistic skills such as art vocabulary and history, drawing and art skills, and expanded creativity, imagination, and confidence.

April 21 - June 16 (9 sessions) 

Grades: 1 to 6

WEDNESDAYS
Beginner Cantonese 

Class includes:

- Picture book storytelling

WIZE 3D Modeling, Design & Printing

Coding

Our curriculum at Wize Computing Academy offers an exciting opportunity for young learners to dive into the realm of creativity, innovation, and technology. In this program, children will embark on a hands-on journey, exploring the art of 3D modeling, designing intricate objects, and bringing their imaginations to life through the magic of 3D printing.
By immersing themselves in this dynamic learning experience, kids not only develop essential STEM skills but also foster their problem-solving abilities and enhance their creativity.
Through engaging projects and challenges, they will learn the principles of

design thinking and gain the necessary skills for the future.

 

Thursdays: 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM
April 30 - Jun 18 (8 sessions) 

Ages: Grade 3 – 7

Fees: $300 + tax and $25 annual registration fee

FRIDAYS
Brainiacs: Board Games & Chess

Come explore the power of strategic thinking through fun, engaging, hands-on, and strategy-based board games such as Chess, Mastermind, Blokus, Chinese Checkers, Match Madness, Codenames, and many more.

 

The program will focus on teaching kids new board games, strategic foundations, skill development, and game strategy improvement. When playing chess, the focus will be on learning piece functions, openings, endgame tactics, variations, and puzzles (depending on the skill level). 


Fridays: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
April 10 to June 19  (except October 24 and 31)
Grades: K to 7
Fees: $385 per student (+GST + Service Fee)

FRIDAYS
UBC Active Kids

Program information: The UBC Active Kids multisport and physical literacy program offers fun, interactive, and high energy classes focused on motivation and confidence building through agility, balance, and coordination games and activities. There is a focus on basic fundamental movement skill development such as running, kicking, throwing, catching, as well as sport specific skills and games. Kinesiology student coaches from the UBC Active Kids program travel to local schools to lead the program and connect with the community.

Sing. Dance. Act. Shine!

At Lights Up Afterschool, your child can experience the joys and benefits of musical theatre by taking part in our afterschool programs led by our talented and experienced Lights Up Musical Theatre Schools' staff.

These classes are a unique introduction to our weekend musical theatre programs and provide students with an enriching, rewarding, and most of all, fun afterschool activity right at the bell!

 

WINTER SHOW: HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON

How to train your dragon? Wonder no more! This winter, Lights Up afterschool students will dive into a world of vikings, dragons, and unexpected friendship. Inspired by the popular Dreamworks movie, with our own musical twist, embark on a heroic adventure as we learn together...

Students will be supervised from dismissal. No

need to pick up your child until 5:15pm!

Performance on the last day of classes for friends and family!
